Hilo Eats

Comments: At the moment I have 4 favorite restaurants in Hilo. HRNSR is the only place that's worth eating at for Chinese or Vietnamese food. The food was absolutely delicious. The rice was tender, but not mushy, the shrimps were tender, the Mongolian chicken was perfectly seasoned with just the right proportions of meat and veggies. The potstickers were hot and fresh and the both the filling and the wrappers had the perfect flavor and texture. The service was fast and the waitresses were friendly. We ended up staying a long time because the food was so good we didn't want to leave. I often go there and order the Pho, which is always good, but today I decided to try something a little different. The total came out to about $30 and it easily could stuff 3 people with leftovers.

Comments: Nice decor - made me feel cool and relaxed. Service was fast and friendly. The li hing mui lemonade is a bit different from the 'real thing' but it's appropriate for Hawaii. Food was excellent - easy to eat. Vietnamese Coffee was a great shot of caffeine for me.

Comments: The food sucks. and so did my waitress. her name was shelley phu. if you ever have her as a waitress, ask for another because she'll probably spit in your food! she did that to me and i didn't even do anything! what a bitch. how you can tell it is shelley is by looking for the ugliest 15yr old asian there. she has long hair with blonde highlights. shes soooo ugly you'll be able to tell. they have the worst service i've ever experienced! hilo rice noodle soup SUCKS!!!!!!
