Comments: Buffet for program, suffered from the usual problems of being cooked early, and sitting out. Nonetheless, correcting for that, the food was uninspiring, and just fair.

Comments: We had a graduation party there with about 30 guests. The waitress who tended to our party was fantastic. She was pleasant and very much on top of things. The food was great and everyone felt comfortable. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends.

Comments: I stayed at Hilo Seaside, so my daughter and I decided to eat at Cocunut Grill Friday evening. Very Pricey! We had to sit way in the back room. Walked by many empty tables in front room. I had suffed chicken breast and my daughter had stuffed pork chop. The chicken was bland. My daughter's pork chops was "too herby".

Comments: On the negative side, customer service is bad. The restaurant supervisor or manager asked me to drink coffee outside that I brought into the restaurant because she said this action was against the State health code. When I checked with the state health department, I learned that there is no such law. This restaurant's coffee is not to my taste, and my coffee is very important to me (one of my reasons for touring the island in the first place).
Also, the food is so so and overpriced for not very good food. The restaurant next door, Barrington has similar prices, but I did not mind the price because that is a gourmet restaurant.
On the positive side, the Coconut Grill's decor and music are very pleasant.
